I wanted to compliment your club on the wonderful music on Sunday\\\'s. I was in with friends last week and was transported back in time when things were a lot more fun. The videos were incredible, the DJ was friendly and even played our requests....the bartenders were very nice and even the door people made us feel welcome from the first step in your door. Keep up the good work. You have the best night of the week on Cedar Springs.

Hey there, was just showing off your bar to a few co-workers. I was there on Fri. Oct 7th. Had an amazing time. I own a large restaurant named Frankies, here in NM. I have tended bar in many cities and can quickly pick out the best ones. The gentleman that you had working the tequila bar, the one station bar, was incredible. A true Bartender, fast excellent friendly service. Faster than two -or three at the main bar! Congratulations at your success. Brought back many wonderful memories of my bartender days!

Hiya,
I sure hope the world doesn't end tomorrow because I really REALLY hope me and my friends'll be able to skip the big drink again and get the chance to dance at this seemingly excellent establishment. Are girls allowed too? Any perks that comes with being a line dancer as well? XD
Hoping you're still around when I do make it over.
Kind regards,
/Pernilla

What happened to Retro Sundays? That was the best night on the strip, a fun, relaxed night with the 80s music and dancing boys. It was the only night of the week I went out.
Now it seems Sunday nights have been taken over by these ANNOYING, LOUD & OBNOXIOUS drag shows. They are such a tired and worn-out gay genre, there is NOTHING entertaining about them.
I am now staying home on Sunday nights, going to find something else to do. There is nothing down on the strip for me anymore.

Retro Sundays go year round. Any event we schedule early on Sundays morph into ManCandy. They sometimes start later on nights when we have special events. April and May were busy months for Sunday Events, PSSA, DIVA, Easter Basket Auction, Round Up Turn-about,but ManCandy has happened every week. Mickey does a great job with his music and videos. It is hopefully a rare occasion if we miss a ManCandy. Sunday, May 22 will be one of those exceptions, but it will return on May 29!

I just want to say that after going to the Roundup off and on for about 20 years now. I really and truly think that the music is at the worst. I know that you must entertain everybody but come on IT IS A COUNTRY BAR. And some of us that have been comming there for so many years would love to hear some older coutry. I am not asking for Hank Sr. or anything but what about some old George Strait alabama Dolly Parton Kenny Rogers or anything from the 80's. I have talked to a large number of friends that come there and we all feel the same. And another thing is that now you have to watch everywhere that you walk for the damn flipflops. What ever happen to the sign that said no open toe shoes. Well that is my thoughts for now. You guys know me and the others very well be sight and by name. Hope that you will take some thought and consideration at least.
Thanks RT

Where to start? The Round Up is and always will be Country! We open at 8 pm with older, slower country music & dancing, we build the tempo as the night progresses. We play country for 4 1/2 hours, and at midnight on Friday and Saturday, we switch over to high energy dance music for 30 minutes to one hour. We return to country thereafter.
This appeals to a much larger crowd, and many of our country customers enjoy it, or at least tolerate it.
Flip flops? We don't dictate fashion, though we might wish we could. This is 2012, and flip flops are a fact of life in casual America. There is ALWAYS a danger with broken glass, but our employees do their best to keep such rare breakage picked up immediatly. We do not allow bare feet in the club for the same reason.

I lived in Dallas in 2008, and my best friend, Jess, and I used to frequent the Roundup. I am a straight woman who loves gay men. Jess is my gay man. I had some of the best times of my life in your establishment and I will never forget your wonderful staff. The next time I come back to visit Dallas, I will make it a point to drop by for drinks and laughs. Thank you for the good times!

Best place ever! My cowgirl hat goes off to you guys! My friends and I love Round-Up! We come here all the time and ALWAYS have an amazing time. And the one and only Lady Gaga enjoys herself here too, what more is there to say! Oh and we love Greg (he's our favorite bartender ever!)

To the fellow staff @ The Round-Up:
I was with a great friend who I met on the internet and he invited me to go with him to the Round-Up. As I first walked in for the first time, it was amazing to see lots and lots of hot, gay cowboy quality men. Oh yeah! The atmosphere there has lifted my spirits up. Although, it was loud and the music selections from the DJ came out great. "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" is one hot song to hear. The bartenders were friendly and some were also hot. And glad to also hear some high energy dance tunes. Had a great time. Went to the Round-Up on March 17th late Sat. night. Me and my date had an awesome time. I'm a happy customer and will come back.

I have been at the Oscar Party every year. I must say that this year has been even more fantastic than ever. Ya'lls hosts were exceptional as aways . Very personalble and informative. New ways to give away wonderful prizes.A 2.00 donation is a great way to assist REBA,however; the food selection was less, compared to the past. But had no problem donating to such a great cause. Must say again how great Glenn and Chanel were. Please keep up the great job.

Hey Round-Up!
No matter the mood.
No matter the lousy workday.
No matter the situation we find ourselves in.
I can ALWAYS count on the staff and the patrons at one of my favorite bars in the USA to lift my spirits and help me have a great time.
I travel for business around the US almost every week - the Round-Up is my number one favorite bar to hit! So, when my work takes me to Dallas, yeeha! You know where I'm going!
Keep up the great work!
David

I was checking out your webpage and noticed you had no regular live music. Wanted to find out if you were considering doing a live music night and what we could do to throw our hat into the ring as a possible performing band for you? We are Robert McGraw and Railhead and we would love the opportunity.
Thanks,
RR

I want to say that I have never been to a bar out of town and enjoyed myself as much. I was thoroughly impressed with your layout, drink prices, staff and bartenders. Myself and a group of friends were in town for the Cotton Bowl from south Louisiana and felt right at home. Congrats on an awesome job making a bar that stands out as one of the best out there. I will definitely be making a trip back there to see you guys.
Thanks again!

I am a frequent regular at the round up. im a younger man (21) but always realize the music choice there is so sporadic. I know it's a country bar but has anyone noticed how empty the dance floor is when they do play constant country? once cool "up-to-date"dance music is on every goes crazy!! just a thought. not even crazy techno music like s4 but just good trendy house music with dance beats, to make your booty shake.
thanks,
Pete

Howdy, I just moved to Dallas a month ago and visited several bars before coming to the roundup, I had been told it was unfriendly and full of Dalitude, that hasnt been my experience at all! From the moment I sat at the bar yor bartender Glenn made me feel at home, in fact he makes me want to come back everytime I leave. He is the friendliest person I have met in Dallas it is very evident that he enjoys his job and represents your establishment with great enthuisiasm and professionalism.
In fact last night I noticed everyone flocking to him to be served while two other bartenders had plenty of time to chat(not their fault everyone seemed to prefer Glenn)Just thought I would let you know and tell you Thanks for such a great place to enjoy and for employing such great bartenders such as Glenn. Sincerly, Kenaniah
